The impression procedure ensures the accurate transfer of the implant position or abutment position in relation to natural teeth, other implants, and soft tissue contours onto a model.
The impression post is available in lengths of 8, 11, and 18 mm. It is also available in 11 mm for the Ø3.25 mm implant. The special impression post for open tray impressions is available in lengths of 8 and 13 mm.
The impression posts are made of stainless steel, except for the Ø3.25 mm impression post, which is made of titanium.
Maximum tightening torque: 10 Ncm.
The Neoss impression post is "self-locating," meaning the screw does not tighten the implant until the post is properly seated. In cases of uncertainty or the risk of soft tissue pinching, taking an X-ray is recommended.
The upper part of the impression post features a direction indicator between the two flat surfaces, which should be aligned for optimal orientation with one of the snapping arms. Ideally, the direction indicator is positioned facially to ensure correct placement of the red impression cap.
Align the flat side of the red impression cap with the direction indicator on the impression post to ensure proper orientation during fitting.
